Tech TC

Today at tech we were doing pewter work and we were finishing off our work and we were still cutting our wood to make the pewter so I used the scuttle cutter. I was making my pewter work for my grandad. After that, we went and pour in the pewter that we had melted and poured it in the wood for 5 minutes. When I was done waiting I went and took out the pewter that has turned into metal and went to start polishing it. As soon as I was about to start polishing it the second-period bell rang and we all went to hop on the bus and went back school.

Sport Auckland

This morning we were doing Sports Auckland and for sports Auckland we were doing ripper rugby. First we had to warm up and so we played a few games then we went and started playing rats and rabbits. After that we were playing rugby netball and it was really fun and I was like the goal keeper but we have to score where the goalkeeper is and that is how you get a point. 

Finding the volume of a pyrimid

Yesterday we went to Mrs Tuakoi's class and  we were learning maths. For maths we were learning how to find the volume of the pyramid. Firstly we had to find the formula. So we went through the formula for the different areas for the bases. There was a square base, a rectangle base and there was a triangle base. After that we started working out the answer for the three of them. We actually used the pyramids Room 7 made to rule the Length and the width. We had to rule out the pyramids and then start trying to figure out what the volume is and put the answer in cm and cubed. 

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

Today we were doing  The Good, The Bad And The Ugly for reading. We had to be in groups and so group one and two had to sit on the mat and miss read the journal to us. When we finished reading the story we went to our desks and did a venn diagram. We had to reread the story and then we had to find our similarities and facts about the story. We were reading about microbes. Microbes are things that cant be seen with our eye so we have to use microscopes to look closely. Fungi, Bacteria and viruses were the main things we were reading about.
