Cline

So today my classmates and I were doing reading and for reading we were doing a cline. A cline is choosing one word and trying to find greater synonyms. To make sure people viewing my blog knows what it means, I had put some images that matches the word I have chosen for my cline.

The 1st Three Days Of Lockdown

On Wednesday 12th August my siblings and I were getting ready to go school. Until our parents told us that we have lockdown for three days.  My parents told me to go and get ready because we are going to buy some things. So we got ready and headed on out. I was still so tired but I slept  in the car. When we arrived we were waiting n the car because my parents had to go and buy the things we needed. When they were finished they put the things in the back we went and drive. While we were going we stopped at the bakery to grab some food and then went to the dairy to grab some drinks. We were just about to go and visit my nana but the road was too busy so we went home. When we arrived we started to do homework and I felt all refreshed and comfortable. 

Beirut Explosion

 

So earlier this week there was an explosion at Beirut,

Lebanon's capital city. 

The explosion started on tuesday evening. 

The explosion which was not supposed to be in 

Lebanon has erupted quite powerful. 

The explosion started off as a fire in the building 

until there was a 

bomb and that bomb was so big that 

several people got injured and passed away. 

The Beirut community is now looking to find the victims 

that have got hit 

and are still alive or injured by 

the explosion and now is still finding them. 

Cars and houses went flying and destroyed other houses. 

There are 135 people 

that has died and 5,000 are 

wounded. But people are still finding the survivors that 

are buried underneath after the terrifying 

explosion has happened.

Pewter Work

So today I was doing my pewter work. We were still polishing our work and I had to still sand mine. I was sanding my work and went to Mr Grundy and he said it was nice and I had to go and wet sand it. While I was wet sanding it I had to splash some water to the sandpaper and my pewter work and then start to sand it in a puddle. After sanding the front bit I started sanding my edgens and then gave it to Mr Grundy. Then Mr Grundy started to polish it and then he gave it to me to do the rest. then I went to grab some paper towels and then Mr Grundy told me to go to my table and start to wipe it on my pewter work because there was some kind of chemicals on the paper he had and then it got rid of the black things and then second period finished and we all had to put our work in the container and then we put it in the cupboard and went on out. 

Tech TC

Today at tech we were doing pewter work and we were finishing off our work and we were still cutting our wood to make the pewter so I used the scuttle cutter. I was making my pewter work for my grandad. After that, we went and pour in the pewter that we had melted and poured it in the wood for 5 minutes. When I was done waiting I went and took out the pewter that has turned into metal and went to start polishing it. As soon as I was about to start polishing it the second-period bell rang and we all went to hop on the bus and went back school.

Sport Auckland

This morning we were doing Sports Auckland and for sports Auckland we were doing ripper rugby. First we had to warm up and so we played a few games then we went and started playing rats and rabbits. After that we were playing rugby netball and it was really fun and I was like the goal keeper but we have to score where the goalkeeper is and that is how you get a point. 

Finding the volume of a pyrimid

Yesterday we went to Mrs Tuakoi's class and  we were learning maths. For maths we were learning how to find the volume of the pyramid. Firstly we had to find the formula. So we went through the formula for the different areas for the bases. There was a square base, a rectangle base and there was a triangle base. After that we started working out the answer for the three of them. We actually used the pyramids Room 7 made to rule the Length and the width. We had to rule out the pyramids and then start trying to figure out what the volume is and put the answer in cm and cubed.
